Our Personal Credo
Each of us sets out to reach the same destination but the path we will travel is our own. We find our way by listening to the wisdom within. The journey to wholeness beckons but the distractions are many. Flower recommends we all have a personal credo to guide us on our journey. She explains, “A man is overpowered by outer forces and events unless he possesses a credo which gives him strength and balance for the chaos he encounters.” A credo is your compass; it is a gauge for measuring the rightness of your path. A credo is a statement of belief that guides your actions. Keeping it at the forefront of our awareness and being alert to maintain its integrity, keeps us on track. Our goal is to live such that the ideal of our credo is manifested through us. Flower adds, “The growth of the individual begins when he finds his own special way to advance, and when he maintains its constructive influence.” If you have felt overwhelmed by the chaos you’ve encountered or your journey sometimes feels like a ship lost at sea, perhaps consider investing in a personal GPS system, a credo, to help navigate the waters of your inner journey.
More information on personal credo’s can be found in ‘The Quest Lessons: Man's Secret Credo’ pp. 169-176.
